Ramadhan Kareem

بسم الله والحمدلله

Salam all Brothers and Sisters
Alhamdullilah, Alhamdulillah. All praises be to Allah for giving us this opportunity to welcome the blessed month of Ramadhan again.
The time for contemplation has come once again brothers and sisters.
We know how we have performed as a Muslims for the past 12 months and
we know how badly we need this blessed month.

Somehow or other, we have neglected our duties as a Muslim.
Our nafs have been overfed this past 12 months.
We have laughed too much.
We have eaten and drank too much.
We have done things that we should not have done.
We have said things that we should not have said.
Our eyes have been seeing things that we should not see.
The animalistic instinct in us called the nafs have gone wild.
And our worship towards the Almighty has been very minimum.

We have drowned ourselves in the dunya.
We have not worship Allah as much as he deserves to be worshipped.
We have not remembered Allah as much as he deserves to be remembered.
We have not thanked Allah as much as he deserves to be thanked.

The time has come for us to go into isolation.
The time has come for us to treat our ever weakening Imaan,
Our hearts have been polluted with the love of the dunya.
It is time for us to put the dunya behind us.
This is the month of worship.
This the month where we give total submission to Allah.
Let sleep be minimum this month
Let us fill this month with the Qur’an.
Let us fill this month with the tears of repentance and regret for our sins.

As we enter the madrasah of Ramadhan with our excess baggage of sins,
We pray to Allah for health only for the sole purpose
of being able to give our 100% to Him.
Let this Ramadhan be our best Ramadhan yet.
Cause this might just be our last…
…We may never see the next Ramadhan.
Ahlan wa sahlan wa marhaban Yaa Ramadhan

Abu Hurayrah narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) mounted the pulpit and said: “Ameen [O Allah, grant it], ameen, ameen.” Someone asked: “O Messenger of Allah, you mounted the pulpit and said: “Ameen, ameen, ameen.” The Messenger replied that: “Jibril came to me and said: ‘Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and does not have his sins forgiven, and thus enters Fire, may Allah distance him. Say ameen.’ So I said ‘Ameen’” (Ibn Khuzaymah, Ahmad, and al-Baihaqi: Sahih).

Wishing all Dmasyqians and fellow Muslims Ramadhan Kareem.
Have a blessfull one.
