Today, on 20th Muharram 1430H/17th January 2009CE, Dmasyq had Yaseen recitation and a Dua Manaajat for the struggling victims in Gaza and also a reminder to every single one of us.
It’s been 22 days since the attack on Gaza. The whole world shares the same sympathy and worries to the casualties and innocent civilians injured or emotionally hurt.
How does it feel to live in fear every day? Without any comfort, unsecured and always expecting acts of violent on the door. Even shutting the eyes makes the heart beats so fast. The loud crashes of tumble buildings, rain of bombs, a forest of fire and thick layers of smoke. How does it feel like to be in their shoes?
The atmosphere in the hospital must be chaotic. Patients are crazily increasing and the number of doctors remains the same. Not only the cries of children could be heard; even a strong young man with build body is crying in grieve. And every single second, is a promising good bye to your love ones. How long can a human survive?
The children left all alone. No parents to guide, no siblings to be taken care of. No teachers to educate their future. Wondering around the abandoned streets, searching for hope with much fear in their heart but is Hope really coming?
Paradise awaits them. How about us?
Only a few are awakened and deeply affected by their sorrows. Sadly, most of our Muslim brothers and sisters are still ignorant. We rarely recite the Qur’an in passion. We seldom stand to prostrate ourselves for Allah at night. We moan and groan to our perfect lives. We could not understand the meaning of appreciation to our love ones, or to the meal that is laid upon us, neither to the freedom that is given to us. We laugh upon every stupid joke, forgetting about they who hardly could smile. We hardly encourage each of us to strive hard. All we do is simply complain in excuses and smirk to they who reminded us.
The space given from Allah to freely perform any acts of Ibadah is a blessing to us. It is also an opportunity to show our gratitude to Lord Almighty with the chance of having the choice to choose the wide time ahead us. And to love and be loved by our loved ones, without having any worries of their state in danger is an advantage to us, to express our emotions of how value they are to us.
So, let’s start this day with a smile, the smile that shines from your heart. Enjoy the smile, and may it enlighten the souls in darkness. For, you’ll never know, what may come tomorrow.
Rabbi hazal Qalbu.. Zaada fiihil Hubbu.
